The Art of Freedom Foundation in cooperation with the German Institute of International Contacts
The year 2019 was for our foundation a year of searching and establishing new contacts as well as defining our priorities and directions of activity.
2020 is the year of implementation and execution.
Already on 7th January, that is, the first day after the long Christmas break, Olga Żmijewska, President of the Art of Freedom Foundation, took part in a meeting with the Cultural Manager of the German Institute of International Contacts, Julia Herzog, who coordinates the work of the Association of German Minorities in Varmia and Masuria (https://www.ifa.de/).
A New Year’s meeting was held in the impressive House of Nicolaus Copernicus in Olsztyn, which revolved around a joint youth project that we are working on involving innovative activities to spark young people’s interest in the German language and culture.
One of the statutory objectives of the Art of Freedom Foundation are activities facilitating and promoting understanding among cultures. Cooperation with the German minority in the region of Varmia and Masuria is an important pillar of our activities that is part and parcel of the awareness of the cultural continuity of the regions where we are based.
